30-Day Planner for The Blood of Dawnwalker: Budget Every Unit
Plan your 30 days and 30 nights in The Blood of Dawnwalker: the 480-unit math, a shortlist-budget-buffer method, and the interactive planner roadmap.
What is the 30-Day Planner?
The Blood of Dawnwalker gives you 30 days and 30 nights, and official materials confirm you cannot finish every story thread in one run. The 30-Day Planner is this wiki’s method — and, at launch, interactive tool — for deciding in advance how to spend that window.
What is the math?
Per Xbox hands-on coverage, each day has 8 time units and each night has 8 time units:
| Budget | Units |
|---|---|
| 30 days × 8 units | 240 day units |
| 30 nights × 8 units | 240 night units |
| Total per playthrough | 480 units |
Free exploration spends nothing (Does Exploration Use Time?) — only quest actions draw from this budget. Pre-release information — awaiting verification in the release build.
How do you plan a run?
- Learn the system. Read How Time Works and Day vs Night — day units and night units are separate budgets with different abilities.
- Shortlist. Pick the quests, characters, and endings you care about most. Use Quest Time Costs and Choices & Consequences once launch data lands.
- Budget, then buffer. Assign units to your shortlist across the 30 days and nights, and hold back a reserve for threads that cost more than expected or unlock late.
Why not just improvise?
Because the two scarcest resources interact: a quest can demand units you no longer have, or a choice can close a thread you meant to finish. Read The 30-Day Limit and Missable Quests for the failure modes the planner exists to prevent.
