The Blood of Dawnwalker Choices

Choices and Consequences in The Blood of Dawnwalker: How They Work

Every action carries consequences in The Blood of Dawnwalker. How the choices database will track help/refuse/spare/kill outcomes, locks, and endings.

Do choices matter in The Blood of Dawnwalker?

Yes. Official materials confirm that every action carries consequences, and that you cannot complete every story thread in a single playthrough. In a game built around a 30-day clock, a decision is a double commitment: it spends time, and it closes or opens later threads.

What will the choices database track?

Pre-release information — awaiting verification. No official list of decision points exists yet, so nothing below names specific quests or outcomes. Starting from the release build on September 3, 2026, each verified decision will be recorded with:

  • Decision point — the quest and moment where the choice occurs.
  • Branches — what happens when you help, refuse, spare, kill, ignore, or side with the characters involved.
  • NPC survival — who lives and who dies on each branch.
  • Locks out — which quests, characters, or threads each branch closes.
  • Unlocks — which quests or routes each branch opens.
  • Ending impact — how the decision feeds into the endings you can reach (see the Endings Guide).

How does this interact with the time system?

Choices and time are the two halves of every trade-off:

  1. A quest action spends time units — check costs on Quest Time Costs.
  2. Its outcome shapes what your remaining units can buy — tracked here.
  3. Budget both with the 30-Day Planner before committing.

Read The 30-Day Limit for why skipping threads is structural, and Missable Quests for how lockouts will be recorded.
